Data Residency And Retention

Effective date: 2026-06-04

This page explains TalkRight's current data-residency and retention approach at a high level. Exact processing locations, partner services, and retention controls may vary by clinic configuration, integrations, and contract terms.

TalkRight is designed around healthcare communication workflows and a core clinical operations layer hosted on Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

Core Data Layer

The following data may be stored in TalkRight's core operational layer depending on clinic configuration:

  • clinic account records;
  • user and role records;
  • patient communication records;
  • call status and routing records;
  • transcripts and call summaries where enabled;
  • appointment workflow records;
  • audit logs and operational reporting data.

Partner Processing

Some communication workflows require partner processing. Examples include PBX routing, SIP trunking, WhatsApp, SMS, email delivery, payment workflows, analytics, and voice automation.

TalkRight aims to minimize data sent to partners and use retention controls where available. Exact processing locations, subprocessors, and retention controls may vary by configuration and contract.

Retention Controls

Retention is configured based on the clinic's contract, regulatory needs, and workflow requirements. TalkRight is designed to support retention controls for:

  • transcripts;
  • recordings;
  • summaries;
  • audit logs;
  • operational reporting;
  • deletion workflows where legally permitted.

Important Note

TalkRight should not be described as holding specific compliance certifications, fixed residency commitments, or fixed retention commitments unless those claims are formally verified and included in the applicable customer agreement.
